Global challenges require professionals who can collaborative efficiently with individuals in different disciplines and across geographic and organization boundaries that have distinct, but complimentary roles in agriculture, environmental and public health in order to achieve these goals. Funded by a Global Innovation Initiative grant, Ohio State partnered with the Federal University of Paraíba, Nottingham University and the University of Liverpool to achieve the following:
The project established a credible system to improve research capacity, competency and competitiveness of students and faculty members. This framework will provide the foundation necessary to meet the growing demand for a skilled scientific workforce to efficiently and effectively address diseases at the animal, human and environment interface strengthening the Global One Health system.
